Space for the Future: Salwan Public School’s expansion

The historic Salwan Public School, founded in 1934, faced a challenge recently. Packed with 3,000 students, their existing buildings reached their capacity. The school’s director, yearning for a vibrant space for younger students and increased capacity, embarked on an ambitious project and reached out to Saluja Contracts. The school’s vision was a new block, named Block E, as a thriving space for learning. The design boasted 35 classrooms, two staff rooms, and a dedicated toilet block on each floor. Two spacious staircases ensured smooth flow, while a basement offered additional indoor areas and storage.

E block's completion in 18 months was a triumph. The school management and students were thrilled. With the additional space, Salwan Public School welcomed 1,700 new students, their halls echoing once again with the joys of learning. Block E wasn't just another construction; it was a testament to growth, opportunity, and the enduring legacy of Salwan Public School.
