Transforming the Facade and Ensuring Waterproof Excellence: The Comprehensive Remodel of DPS International Saket
The administrative building of Delhi Public School Saket, established 25 years ago, suffers from poor quality of waterproofing due to rushed construction. The architect's design included sloped terraces with ceramic tiles and a granite-covered courtyard, making it too hot for kids to play.
The school's multipurpose hall, with expensive lighting and sound systems, had roof and expansion joint leaks during rain. The upper-level classrooms had faulty air conditioners and false ceilings.
Saluja Contracts disassembled each terrace, applied special treatment, tested for leaks for 15 days, and after the school's approval, completed vitrified tiling and concrete roofing, reducing the internal temperature by 5-7%.
After, Saluja Contracts installed a new drainage system and removed the granite from the central courtyard, we dismantled the admin block, completed networking, electrification, and IT setup, redesigned and finished the flooring, and installed a veneered false ceiling.
Completed VRV system and air conditioning setup, renovated lavatory, installed new door frames and doors, added aluminium windows, and built a new conference room with tile flooring.
Saluja Contracts replaced the green ceramic tiles with a cement strip around the facade and painted the entire surface green to achieve a unified finish.
